It has recently been brought to my attention that in our nation we do not grow a lot of Fruit in Fruited Plains. And there are very few places on mountains you can stand to see the Fruited Plains below? Having traveled the nations I can think of a few places where I have seen fruited plains and orchards coming down a large grade or a mountain area. In California there are a few and as you transcend the mountains to the valley below you can see orchards of Lemons, Oranges and other fruit being grown. One recent comment on this subject came in from an email from someone who grew up in Montana who stated; "I always wondered where the "fruited plains" were because I lived in an area of Montana with a lot of plains and never saw any fruited plains.".Well this is partly because of the Freezing Temperatures and fruit usually is completely ruined in a freeze and this is why they have giant generators to move and circulate the air or furnaces to keep the ambient temperatures in the orchards above freezing you see?.
You know there actually are areas with fruited plains such as near Yakima, WA and in Florida there are fruited trees on the Giant Sand Bar State, but no mountains to see them from like the song suggests? In Georgia you can see Peach Trees from Calloway Gardens? On Mt. Vernon you can see below, wasn't there Cherry Trees to chop there once? There are some fruited plains in a few parts of our nation still you see. You just have to know where to look.
So perhaps you will consider all this in 2006.
